Godot Projects
For the last five years, I've experimented with different aspects of making video games. Every week, I meet with my Game U instructor for guidance. I've worked on everything from art to coding and design in these games. All of the ones below are made using Godot.
Unity Project
FishBoatany is a two-person game in which one player, the fisherman, tries to defend against the other player, the fish, by shooting at them. The fish player has to get one of the fish across the screen three times to win, and the fisherman player has to stop that from happening by shooting the fish.
The Process: This was a student team project I worked on at the Game Academy program at Champlain College. Using Unity, we worked on the game intensively over the course of a week. Most of the team was more comfortable with programming, so I challenged myself to do some of the art and animations in the game, such as the fisherman, the ocean, and the fish. I started things simple, with clear outlines and a few colors for each sprite I made. I would then add some shading, which, while simple, added much more detail to the sprites and made them look infinitely better.
